Affiliate disclosure

Amazon Associates

The Hobby Library participates in the Amazon EU Associates Programme. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Some product links on this site are Amazon affiliate links. If you follow one and make a qualifying purchase, The Hobby Library may receive a commission. This does not increase the price you pay.

How recommendations are chosen

Affiliate relationships do not decide which products appear in a guide. Products are selected for their suitability, checked against specialist information and recurring user experience, and linked to the exact item reviewed rather than a retailer search.

We may sometimes link to a product as an example of equipment to consider later rather than something a beginner should buy immediately. The surrounding recommendation explains that distinction.

Prices and availability

Amazon prices and availability change frequently, so this site does not reproduce a manually maintained Amazon price beside affiliate links. Check the current price, seller, specification, compatibility and returns information on Amazon before purchasing.

Other affiliate programmes may be added later. This page will be updated when that happens.

Shopping outside the UK

Our product research starts with the exact UK item shown in each guide. Where we have a local Amazon Associates account, readers can switch shopping country. In the United States and other supported countries, the button opens a tagged Amazon search for the product name unless we have checked a country-specific exact item. Search results can contain different products or editions, so check the model, seller, price and compatibility before buying. A click does not confirm a sale or commission.
